Semiconductor Chemicals (SEMIC)
In this area, KISCO promotes the development and sale of semiconductor chemical products, particularly strippers. One result of the company's efforts has been the development of a clear polymer remover called EcoPeeler, a non-polluting cleaning agent. This neutral inorganic water-soluble solution (stripper) reduces the production of hazardous substances that have previously been a drawback of the semiconductor production process. Moreover, it does so without the need for special equipment or waste water treatment, thus lowering costs. KISCO continues to promote the development of new semiconductor cleaning agents with a view toward worldwide sales.
Fine Chemicals
KISCO affiliate Fine Polymers Co., Ltd. works with KISCO's Electronics Materials Division to manage production and marketing of these advanced materials. Fine Polymers developed Epi Fine, which employs the superior characteristics of epoxy resin. The company also provides unique modified compound resins, specializing in liquefied products such as electrical insulation materials for LED sealant applications. Both KISCO and Fine Polymers are involved in analysis, research and practical development as they aim to expand the range of fine chemical applications for epoxy resins.

Scanning Differential Thermometer with Analytical Equipment
This equipment measures values such as the heat deformation temperature of epoxy resin, the transition point of glass and reaction temperature.
At KISCO, it is mainly used to analyze the heat characteristics of epoxy resin hardeners.

Recording Media
KISCO provides the large-capacity recording media of the digital age, from CD-Rs to MOs and DVD-Rs. In addition, the company handles hardware for recording and software for data management, to offer a total system for dealing with production on consignment.
Optoelectronics
KISCO develops parts for fiber optic transmission in computers and peripherals, and related equipment. Currently, the company is developing a measurement and control system in which a CCD camera films the striped pattern (laser spectrum pattern) caused by irradiation of an object with a laser. The image is then transmitted on a video monitor, where the amount and direction of movement of the object can be controlled using an image management computer. KISCO is working to bring to the market new applications for measuring devices, machinery, equipment and sensors.

Battery Functional Materials
The spread of portable and cordless electronics is stimulating the search for batteries with greater functions and higher reliability. To meet these needs, KISCO develops and markets functional, active materials, mainly for primary and secondary lithium batteries and nickel hydroxide batteries. Related activities include development of facilities for test production and regular production of batteries, as well as charge and safety testing equipment.
Biotechnology
In its search for new opportunities in the field of biotechnology, KISCO handles culture media, bacterial agents and biological testing chemicals while building new businesses in the fields of foodstuffs, pharmaceuticals and livestock. Other foodstuffs handled by the company include yeast extract, food additives such as emulsifiers and antioxidants, peptides and vitamins. KISCO also imports both the fruit and juice of strawberries processed and frozen under contract at farms overseas and supplies them to domestic food and beverage manufacturers as basic ingredients for jam and juice.
